It is indeed true. Richard was interviewed (if I can remember where I read this I'll post a link) saying that he is/was working on another album. It is to be all instrumental I guess (woohoo!) and may be released sometime this year. We haven't heard much else though beyond that.
Thank you for the kind words Rune!

Hi Sarah (and Liz)! What is this I read about Rick working on a new album? Is this true or just rumours?
Nice site you have here by the way. Keep up the good work! Best wishes from Stockholm, Sweden
We haven't heard much really about Richard's next solo album, but let's just hope that it'll be released soon. I think everyone is becoming pretty anxious for another release from Richard.
Ahh yes, the bus pass. lol The question is, will he utilize his bus pass.

Hi Liz & Sarah, Can I be one of the 1st to wish Richard a very Happy Birthday for Monday. Do you know if he will have time to get to work on his upcoming album, what with him now being eligible for a bus pass, he may spend all his time travelling...
Big Rick! Congratulations
! I hope you meet many years more!
take care and shine on!

People may have taken Rick for granted because he was behind the scenes all those years. After watching RTN I realized how essential he is to the PF sound..It's like Rick was really PF all along...Great site BTW!

Always thought Rick Wright deserved more credit than he was given. You only have to hear the strength of the arrangement on his track "Summer '68" on Atom Heart Mother. Nice site -thanks

Hello. Signed a membership to this fan site of the most original keyboard player in the history. Rick is very important to the Floyd sound, and have written one of the best Floyd parts: Shine On Part9 and The Great Gig In The Sky. Thanks to you out there that made a fansite to Wright. He really deserve it.

What a fantastic musician. Every time I hear him play I want to give up the guitar and play keyboard. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
As dedicated fans, we would like to promote Richard's enchanting solo album, Broken China. Unfortunately we can't sell his album directly from our site, but we'd like to provide a link to Amazon at the very least:
Maybe someday soon we will be promoting his next solo album as well. Wink, wink.
Planet Rock Has Been Saved!
Great news! We have received a newsletter from Planet Rock announcing that their future is secure!
Planet Rock has been purchased by life long rock and radio fan Malcolm Bluemel and his consortium supported by their very own Tony Iommi, Ian Anderson, Gary Moore, and Fish, saving Planet Rock from certain closure.
